Travel RN Opportunity – Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Contract Length: 13 weeks

- Level 3 Trauma Center

- Proximity to major cities: Las Vegas (2.5 hrs), Phoenix (3.25 hrs), Grand Canyon (3.5 hrs), Los Angeles/San Diego (5 hrs)
Position Details
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry
- Unit: Med/Surg Telemetry (M/S Tele)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend Shifts: 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
- Call Requirements: None scheduled; possible shift flex to on-call twice during contract
- Float Requirements: Expected to float to other units including IMC and ED
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Number of Beds on Unit: 40
- Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
Patient Types
- Total joint replacement patients
- Surgical patients
- Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)
- Acute on chronic medical conditions such as CHF, CKD
- Alcohol withdrawal
- Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)
- Gastrointestinal Bleeding (GIB)
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS and NIH certifications preferred
- Experience with telemetry and managing a 6-patient ratio
- Ability to float to other units (IMC, ED)
Preferred Experience
- Preceptor and charge nurse experience a plus
- Compassionate, positive, can-do attitude
