Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics (Travel/Contract)

Location: Carrollton, Georgia
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:45 PM to 7:08 AM (rotating schedule every other weekend; other hours self-scheduled)
Specialty/Unit: Open Heart, with rotation to General ICU, ER, and Adult Med-Surg as needed

Requirements

• Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year post-surgical open heart experience
  • Critical care experience required
  • Previous experience with Flolan Therapy desired
  • No travelers with only 1 year of experience accepted
  • No first-time travelers accepted

• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
  • Georgia RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner license)

Important Details

• Schedule is rotating every other weekend; other shifts are self-scheduled but scheduling flexibility cannot be guaranteed.
• Must meet all facility-specific credentialing and compliance requirements prior to start.

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
• Emergency Contact Form
• Background Checks (7-year history, nationwide, sex offender, state-specific as applicable)
• Education Verification (highest level; diploma copy not accepted for higher education)
• Certifications verification (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP as applicable)
• Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
• State License Verification (primary source online verification)
• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exams (minimum 80% score or meet Angoff score)
• Competency Exams as applicable to profession
• Professional photo for badge (business formal or business casual, clear and professional)
• Facility-specific agreements and acknowledgements (Code of Ethical Behavior, Confidentiality, Employee Checklist, etc.)
• Physical Exam within 1 year of start
• Immunizations and Titers:

  • Tdap (no declinations accepted unless confirmed exempt)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • TB Questionnaire (required regardless of TB results)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 doses MMR; no declinations accepted
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines
• Drug Testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved exemption (religious or medical) required for clearance
• References:

  • 2 professional references for travel, allied, per diem acute care
  • 1 professional reference for per diem non-acute care
• Employment Application copy
• Unit-specific Skills Checklist (updated annually)

Summary
