Description
Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology (Travel/Contract)
Location: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Key Requirements and Qualifications
Background Checks
- Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
- Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprint clearance required within 90 days of start (except remote workers living outside PA).
- Education verification for highest level related to specialty required.
- Pennsylvania state-specific searches including Child Abuse Search, PATCH Search, and Medicheck Search required within specified timeframes.
Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for ER, ICU, L&D, Mother Baby, PACU, Pediatric ER, PCU, RRT (except NICU only). Must be AHA certified.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all clinical staff including techs. Must be AHA certified.
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for ER, Pediatric ER, all RN Pediatric specialties, RRT-PICU, and RRT working in Pediatrics. Must be AHA certified.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure): Required for L&D and RRT-NICU. Must be AAP/AHA certified.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course): Required for ER and Pediatric ER. Trauma Certified Registered Nurse (TCRN) certificate acceptable if TNCC not obtained before start.
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Required for L&D, must be AWHONN certified.
- National certification/verification prior to facility start and upon expiration as applicable by profession and state.
- Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement and Pass/Fail Testing (Basic Dysrhythmia exam) required for clinical candidates with annual updates.
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required for all RN candidates (passing score 80%).
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required annually for clinical candidates (passing score 88%).
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 2 months of start.
- Fit test completed onsite (not required for 100% remote non-clinical).
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years of start.
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray as per guidelines; annual updates not required.
- Required immunizations or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella. Declinations generally not accepted except specific conditions for flu vaccine.
- Negative drug screen (10 panel or 9 panel without THC) within 60 days of start. Observed drug screens required if initial test is dilute.
- Hepatitis C titer required only for Operating Room and Dental specialties.
- Seasonal flu vaccination/documentation required for new candidates starting during flu season (Oct-May), with specific declination policies.
- COVID-19 vaccination required or signed declination with facility-specific form.
- Respirator medical clearance required annually for candidates starting 04/07/2025 and beyond.
Facility Specific Documents
- Photo for badge required for new candidates starting 3/31/2025 and later (recent, color, forward-facing, no hats/masks).
- Affidavit for provisional employment must be completed prior to start.
- COVID and flu vaccine declination forms required if applicable.
Employment History and References
- Minimum of 2 professional references from employment within 12 months of start required.
- Complete employment application including 7 years of work history, education, license/certification info, and contact information required.
- Work history verification required for non-clinical candidates including 100% remote.
State Specific Documents (Pennsylvania)
- Child Abuse Search within 90 days of start.
- Department of Human Services fingerprint results within 90 days of start (all pages required).
- PATCH Search within 90 days of start.
- Medicheck Search within 30 days of start (not required for 100% remote non-clinical).
Summary
This is a 13-week travel/contract position in Radiology/Cardiology with night shifts Monday through Friday. Candidates must meet extensive background checks, certifications, competency exams, health and immunization requirements, and provide detailed employment history and references. Pennsylvania state-specific clearances and documentation are mandatory.
Candidates should be prepared for compliance with all listed requirements prior to and during the assignment.
