Certification & Licensing Requirements

• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Certified Radiation Therapist - ARRT (T)
• WV state license required
• Agency must provide radiation badge prior to start

Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of Varian linear accelerators
• Ability to administer external beam radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist

Department & Equipment

• 1 CT Simulation scanner (GE Lightspeed)
• 1 Linear accelerator (Varian 2100 IX)
• Imaging performed: Image-guided radiation therapy, Cone Beam CT (CBCT)
• Average daily volume: 30-35 therapeutic radiation treatments, 3-5 CT simulations
• EMR/PACS systems: ARIA, EPIC

Work Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
• Minimal potential for overtime
• No weekend or holiday requirements (closed major holidays)
• No call or standby requirements

Additional Information

• No floating or coverage of other areas required
• Radiation Oncologist or covering physician available during treatment day
• No IV starts required
• Scrub color: solid colors except navy blue; scrubs not provided but can be discussed

Submission Notes (for recruiters)

• Only one submission allowed at a time across the entire WVU system
• Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
• Previous permanent candidates must be gone for 2 years before resubmission
• Previous travelers must be gone for 2 years after 1 full year assignment
• Only 2 candidates can be submitted per opening
• Any background issues must be disclosed at time of submission
