Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist Neuro EndoVascular
Location: Florence, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Maintain a professional image and excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
- Select and utilize appropriate technical factors for Neurointerventional procedures (NIR Bi-Plane) based on patient body habitus, pathology, and body parts.
- Process completed images ensuring interpretable quality.
- Participate in continuing education and in-services to develop professionalism.
- Comply with all system policies to deliver high-quality service.
- Perform all procedural examinations during scheduled hours and be available for call.
- Work under surgeon supervision to facilitate safe and effective invasive and non-invasive surgical procedures.
- Ensure operating room safety, proper equipment function, and maximize patient safety during procedures.
- Assist with patient draping, sterile field establishment, positioning, and prepping.
- Assist in lifting, turning, and preparing patients using proper body mechanics.
- Ensure procedure rooms are available and prepared.
- Participate in surgical site and patient verification during time-out procedures.
- Assist with room cleaning and turnover.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Full-time hours with emergency call coverage as scheduled.
Required Credentials & Certifications
- ARRT or NMTCB Certification (Required for onboarding)
- SCRQSA Certification (Required for onboarding)
- BLS (AHA only) (Required for onboarding)
- License/Certificate Verification (State-specific registry, primary source verification required)
- McLeod Skills Checklist (Clinical checklist required prior to start, updated annually)
- Immunizations & Health Requirements:
- MMR: Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab printout (no declinations accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Proof of 3 vaccinations or titer with lab printout (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab printout (no declinations accepted)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot): 1st within 1 year, 2nd within 30 days of start; negative Q-Gold or Tspot acceptable if within 90 days
- Drug Screening:
- 10 panel drug screen completed within 30 days of start (rapid drug screen not accepted)
- Professional Documents:
- Valid Driver’s License/State ID
- Social Security Card
- Criminal Background Check (County, Statewide, National, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, NSOP, SS Trace, Education Verification) within 60 days of start covering last 7 years, updated annually
- Employment Verification for past 5 years
- Confirmation of Assignment (standard form required)
- Resume/Profile submission required (references preferred but not mandatory)
Additional Information
- Fit Test is optional but recommended (must be completed within a year of start).
- Influenza vaccine is optional but required between September and April unless a medical or religious exemption is provided.
- Annual negative PPD, TB questionnaire, and positive PPD with negative chest X-ray are optional depending on prior testing and results.
This position requires a highly skilled technologist capable of supporting neuroendovascular procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment with a strong emphasis on patient safety and teamwork.
