Job Opportunity: Surgical Technician
Location: Muskegon, Michigan
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM
- On-call requirements:
- Typically 2 weekdays on-call
- Every 2nd to 3rd weekend on-call
- One on-call holiday if applicable
- Must be a Certified Surgical Technician (CST)
- Open Heart surgery experience required
- BLS certification required
Required Credentials & Compliance
Certifications & Licenses
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – required for onboarding
- BLS (American Heart Association) – required for onboarding
- License/Certificate Verification – must be dated within 30 days of start
- Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing – completed within the last year
- Trinity Skills Checklist – provided by agency for clinical contractors
Health & Immunizations
- Fit Test – required for onboarding
- Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen – completed within 30 days of start, must include specific substances (no THC)
- COVID-19 Vaccine – proof of booster by Sept 2025, or approved exemption/declination (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- MMR – proof of 2 vaccinations or IgG titer lab report
- Hepatitis B – must have started vaccination series prior to start (titers not accepted)
- Influenza Vaccine – proof or declination for current flu season (declination not accepted in CA or IL)
- 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – with chest x-ray if positive TB (within last year for MI)
- Varicella – proof of vaccination or IgG titer lab report
- Physical/Health Statement – documentation from exam within last year confirming fitness to work
- Tdap – current vaccine required; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction
Professional & Background Requirements
- Trinity Profile: Resume, Skills Checklist (within a year), 2 professional references (required for submission)
- Trinity Code of Conduct Form – signed and on file
- Trinity I9 – completed by agency
- Confidentiality & Security Agreement – signed and on file
- Integrity and Audit Services Form – signed shortly before start
- Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form – signed and on file
- Criminal Background Check – federal, nationwide, county (last 7 years), SSN verification, dated within 30 days of start
- Education Verification – highest academic degree or diploma verified
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) Check – dated within 30 days of start
- GSA/OIG Exclusion Check – dated within 30 days of start
- Joint Commission CORE Exam – within last year
- NSO (National Sex Offender) Check – dated within 30 days of start, includes statewide check for MI
- System Access Form – completed and uploaded one week before start
