Travel RN Opportunity - Pulmonary Telemetry Unit

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Job Details

  • Employment Type: Travel
  • Unit: Pulmonary Telemetry (36-bed telemetry unit)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Work Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
  • Schedule: Every other weekend, holidays as required
  • Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
  • Clinical or Non-Clinical: Clinical
  • EMR System: Meditech
  • Dress Code: Solid Navy scrubs
  • Parking: Available

Job Description

  • Provide specialized nursing care for patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapy, physical therapy, care management, and pharmacy departments.
  • Requires foundation in general medicine and expertise in respiratory nursing skills.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Licenses:
    • Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
    • NURSYS verification required
  • Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross CPR certification
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years nursing experience overall
    • At least 1 year experience in pulmonary specialty
    • Will consider 18 months of experience under highest professional license if specialty experience is met
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

This position is patient-facing and requires clinical nursing skills in a specialized pulmonary telemetry setting.
