Travel RN Opportunity – Progressive Care Neuro Trauma Unit

Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

Unit: Progressive Care Neuro Trauma
Beds: 23
Staff: 9 total
- Day Shift: 6-7 RNs, 2 Aides
- Night Shift: 6-7 RNs, 2 Aides
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Equipment:
- Bedside monitors
- End tidal O2 monitoring
- High flow oxygen
- Chronic ventilators
- Subdural drains
EMR System: Meditech

Required Skills & Experience

Must have:
- Telemetry
- Step-down experience
Preferred:
- Neuro experience
- Trauma experience

Typical Procedures on Unit

Chest tubes
EEGs

Certifications & Licenses

Required:
- ACLS
- BLS
Preferred:
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
License: Registered Nurse License

Additional Information

Floating Areas: All inpatient units including ICU and Emergency Department
Dress Code: Professional scrubs, no specific color required
Schedule: Every other weekend off; no on-call required
