Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• On-call: No
• Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs (will not exceed 1:5-6 patient ratio)
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Block schedule: Not accommodated
• Local candidates: Not accepted (local radius rule: 50 miles)
• Pending license: Not accepted
• Return to Origin (RTO) restrictions: Case by case
• Guaranteed hours: Call off 12 hours per 2 weeks

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required (AHA preferred)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) as required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) as required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) as required
• State License primary source verification required
• NURSYS verification required for all RNs
• NIH Stroke Certification required for all nursing except OB (AHA preferred)
• Pass/Fail Testing (EKG/Medication) on first day; remediation and retake allowed once

Documentation & Compliance Requirements

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government issued photo ID required on person during hours of service
• E-Verify proof or attestation for Advanced Practice Nurses (APN)
• Background checks: 7-year criminal check within 1 year of start, including multiple databases and locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
• Education verification required (diploma/transcript can be placeholder)
• Physical exam within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• Immunizations: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella (titers or vaccines, boosters if low titer)
• Drug testing: 9 panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); declination form and mask required if declined
• References: Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluation
• Skills checklist and competency exams required
• Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements required
