Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel Position

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Setting: Inpatient Rehab (44 beds)

Unit Information

• Unit: Inpatient Rehab Speech Therapy
• Staff: 2 speech therapists (day shift only)
• Patient Ratios: 1:8 to 1:10
• Equipment: MBS Suite, Vital Stim, IOPI, EMST150, Bioness BITs
• EMR system in use

Job Requirements

• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Virginia SLP License with CCCs
  • ASHA Certification
  • BLS Certification
• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in Speech Language Pathology (adult population/medical focus)
  • Preferred: Neuro experience and inpatient rehab experience
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required

Typical Duties

• Evaluate and treat multiple diagnoses related to swallowing and speech language
• Perform MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) studies

Work Environment & Schedule

• Team-oriented, patient-focused, flexible personality preferred
• Floating area may include acute hospital
• Dress code: Black scrub bottoms and royal blue scrub top preferred (other colors accepted)
• Rotating weekends, usually one shift per month
• On-call assistance required
