Description

Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Contract)

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Work Schedule: 48 hours per week, four 12-hour shifts per week, no return to office (RTO) for initial contract


Education & Licensure Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
  • Current, unencumbered Hawaii RN license required (no license-pending candidates)
  • Required certifications:
    • ACLS
    • BLS/HCP
    • C-EFM (NCC certification required; continuing education courses are not accepted as substitutes)
    • NRP (Advanced)
  • All licenses and certifications must be valid for the entire duration of the assignment

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years full-time staff RN experience in Labor & Delivery prior to travel/contract positions
  • Experience in similar size/type medical centers (e.g., 500 beds, Level 1 trauma center) highly preferred
  • Level III perinatal experience highly preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to float to Mother/Baby unit as needed based on operational needs
  • All compliance documentation must be completed and uploaded at least 10 days before contract start date to avoid delays or cancellation
  • No traveler rate offered to Hawaii residents

Notes

  • Compliance includes current NURSYS report and all required certifications (ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NRP)
  • Failure to submit compliance on time will delay start date by 2 weeks or result in cancellation; contract end date remains unchanged, potentially shortening the assignment duration
