    Description

    Hospice Nurse (RN) - Contract

    Location: Grand Junction, Colorado
    Specialty: Nursing

    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Full-time, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour night shifts (7pm-7am)
    • Rotating days of the week
    • On-call requirement: 2 shifts per month
    • Provide compassionate hospice nursing care focused on symptom management and end-of-life support
    • Work in a home-like short-term care setting providing intensive medical end-of-life care for patients who cannot be at home but prefer not to be hospitalized
    • Support patients and families emotionally, socially, and spiritually
    • Act as a teacher to patients and caregivers, helping identify personal goals of care and building caregiver confidence
    • Thrive in a team environment with strong communication and critical thinking skills

    Qualifications

    • Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of 2 years acute care experience (medical/surgical, ICU, ER, or other acute care settings)
    • Hospice experience preferred
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
    • Willingness to participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend rotations
