Occupational Therapist (OT) - Tonasket, Washington

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Certifications

• BLS Certification

Work Setting

• Inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care (LTC)
• Typically assigned to a specific area with potential to float to cover other areas

Patient Load and Types

• 3 to 11 patients treated per day
• Must be adaptable to various cognitive capacities
• Flexible to treat any patient population, including pediatrics and various diagnoses

Experience Requirements

• Prefer candidates with both inpatient and outpatient experience
• First-time travelers are acceptable (prior travel experience not required)

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Staggered start times between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM
• No weekend or holiday requirements

Orientation and Support

• Department-specific orientation: 1-2 shifts with a preceptor
• Permanent therapists available as resources
• Rehab aides and COTAs on staff
• Traveler-friendly environment with inclusion in staff activities

Dress Code

• Professional attire (typically khaki) or scrubs

Additional Notes

• Located near the Canadian border with many outdoor activities and small-town living
• Approximately 30% Spanish-speaking population in the area
• May occasionally cover a facility about 1 hour away or an outpatient clinic about 20 minutes away (rarely required)
