Radiology / Cardiology Travel/Contract Position

Location: Pocatello, Idaho
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Support interventional cardiology, structural heart, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures in the Cath Lab.
  • Ability to scrub and monitor Cath, EP, and Watchman procedures.
  • Rotating call schedule during weekdays and weekends.
  • Work schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, days.
  • Accepts first-time travelers.
  • Scrubs provided by facility.

Required Certifications

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
  • AART (American Association of Radiologic Technologists)

Preferred Certifications

  • AART Advanced Certification

Call Coverage

  • Monday to Friday: 6:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:30 AM to 7:30 AM (24-hour coverage)

Location Requirement

  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify.

Compliance & Onboarding Requirements

Background Checks

  • 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually.
  • Includes Social Security trace, county searches for last 7 years, nationwide search, sex offender registry, and education verification.
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire.
  • Fingerprinting required for New Mexico placements (not applicable here).

Licensure & Verification

  • Primary source online verification of state license required.
  • NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, AP roles.
  • Education verification mandatory.

Health & Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 12 months of start.
  • Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually.
  • Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years.
  • Negative TB test (2-step PPD, QGOLD, or TSPOT) within 1 year.
  • TB questionnaire for positive TB results, renewed annually.
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required.
  • Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted.
  • Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required.
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start.
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required.

Competency & Skills Verification

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
  • Color blindness test (online version acceptable).
  • Competency exams with minimum passing score of 80%.
  • Annual core testing for subcontractors.

Other Requirements

  • Clear headshot photo for badge.
  • Completion of employment application/resume.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required annually.
  • 7-year work history verification.
