Job Opportunity: Interim Leader (Director) - North Carolina

Location: Roxboro, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

Seeking an Interim Leader to serve as Director for the Extended Care Unit (ECU). The role involves both leadership and hands-on nursing duties, including pushing medication carts and assisting on the floor as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily monitoring of resident conditions through 24-hour reports and nursing data
• Timely review and response to admission inquiries (within 20 minutes)
• Direct involvement in resident care, including wound, IV, skin care, and condition changes
• Coordination and follow-up with Licensed Nurses regarding resident care
• On-call availability and weekend work as needed

Requirements

Education

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent
• Required: Associate degree in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required through the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days

Experience

• Prior leadership experience in an Extended Care Unit (ECU) is required
• Must hold a valid RN license (implies nursing experience, but specific years not stated)

Additional Skills

• Ability to push medication carts and work on the floor as needed
• Must be able to take on-call shifts and work weekends
