Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Tech (Interventional Radiology Tech)

Location: Dover, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
On-Call: No call required


Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology Tech experience required.
  • No explicit requirement for prior travel experience mentioned.

Certifications Required

  • BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for all candidates (AHA only; RQI acceptable but non-RQI preferred).
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for many clinical areas; preferred but not required for dialysis.
  • Other certifications may be required depending on specific unit assignments but are not explicitly required for this role.

Background and Compliance Checks

  • Criminal background check required prior to start; must be updated annually or after breaks in service of 2+ months.
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required.
  • FBI and BCI fingerprinting required within 12 months of start and updated annually.
  • Fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract.
  • Education verification required for all new candidates.

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, including assessment of ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Fit mask test (3M N95) required within 12 months of start and updated annually (not required for Histology Techs).
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine required every 10 years.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray required within 6 months of start (Interventional Radiology Techs require this).
  • Required immunizations or titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella.
  • Annual flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31).
  • Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine test required annually.

Documentation and Onboarding

  • Must carry a valid government-issued photo ID while on assignment.
  • Two satisfactory pre-employment references within 1 year of start required (from manager, supervisor, or director).
  • Employment application must include 3 years prior work history with at least 2 years clinical practice in acute care and similar specialty.
  • Unit-specific skills checklist required and must be updated annually.
  • Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules prior to start is mandatory.
  • Various facility-specific checklists and acknowledgments must be completed on day 1 of orientation.

Additional Notes

  • Candidates can start with fingerprinting results pending as long as fingerprinting is completed prior to start.
  • Physical exam documentation must include physician’s office or lab address.
  • Candidates with latex allergies must notify to ensure availability of latex-free gloves.
  • Modules must be completed on a computer using Google Chrome; cannot be completed on a phone.
  • Candidates returning to the system with less than a 6-month break may not need to re-orient or re-complete modules.
