Description
Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Travel/Contract
Location: Randallstown, Maryland
Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Speech-Language Pathologist)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Requirements
Licensure & Certification:
- SLP-CCC required
- Maryland License required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- MBSlmP (Maryland Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology) license required
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in specialty required
- Acute Care experience required
- Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
Schedule:
- Tuesday through Saturday
- One weekend day per week

Compliance & Documentation Requirements
Background Checks:
- Must have a background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- Includes SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3, Education Verification
- International background checks if applicable
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
Health & Immunizations:
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to perform essential job functions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (pending results allowed before start)
- TB Questionnaire updated annually
- Immunizations:
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer (with boosters if negative)
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (with boosters if negative)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Negative 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
Certifications & Competencies:
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, CPI certifications as applicable (verify per unit requirements)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required if applicable (Relias or Prophecy platform only)
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Stroke and Trauma CEUs may be required; must be current and completed as specified
Facility-Specific Requirements:
- Badge photo required
- Parking registration form completion
- Consent to release information form prior to start
- ReadySet account setup and health assessment completion before start
- Attendance, floating, and time & attendance policies must be reviewed and signed
Other Documentation:
- Employment application required
- Work history verification for 2 employers within last 7 years (W2 or direct supervisor references acceptable)
- Unit-specific skills checklist required
Notes
- Respirator fit testing will be completed onsite; if failed, PAPR training provided
- Drug screen must exclude Marijuana/THC
- Stroke CEUs must be stroke-related and updated annually; NIH Stroke Scale counts toward hours if completed within the year
- Trauma CEUs required after 27 weeks of work, usually at extension; must be trauma-related and renewed annually
- EKG exam attempts limited; remediation required after failed attempts with potential cancellation if not passed
- References required by some agencies but not by the facility; 2 professional references within 2 years preferred
