Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech / Interventional Radiology (Travel/Contract)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Start Dates: January 12, 19, or 26
  • Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years recent experience preferred (first-timers not accepted unless over 3 years recent experience)
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
  • On-Call: Yes, usually 1 weekend per month
  • Weekend Requirement: As needed
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Locals: Not accepted (100-mile radius rule)
  • Pending License: Not accepted; must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines
  • Driver’s License: Must be included with submission

Required Certifications

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): AHA or ARC only; required for Cath Lab
  • BLS (Basic Life Support): AHA or ARC only; required for all candidates except some allied health roles
  • Tech Certification: National certification required (e.g., CST, NBSTA for OR Techs; ARRT for MRI and CT Techs; ARDMS for Ultrasound Techs)
  • State License: Tennessee license or multistate license required as applicable (CT Techs assigned to TN do not require TN state license, only national certification)

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal, and education verification
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
  • Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
  • Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
  • Two recent professional references required
  • Internal evaluation required if employed with agency for 1 year or more

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet job demands
  • Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
  • Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (no facial hair allowed if it interferes)
  • Immunizations required with proof:
    • Measles (Rubeola) – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
    • Mumps – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
    • Rubella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
    • Varicella – 2 vaccines or positive titer with boosters if needed
    • Hepatitis B – 3 shot series, positive titer, or signed declination
    • TB test (2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually; chest X-ray if positive
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)

Additional Requirements

  • Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (passport-style, no hats, no glasses glare, recent within 6 months)
  • Two forms of government-issued ID required (e.g., driver’s license, social security card)
  • Must sign confidentiality acknowledgment prior to start
  • Must comply with facility dress code:
    • Navy blue scrubs for RNs
    • Caribbean blue for RRTs (South & Germantown)
    • Steel gray scrubs for Surgical and OB Techs
    • No prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
    • Business casual with white lab coat for RN Case Managers

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
