Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech (Echo Tech) - Travel Position

Location: Beckley, West Virginia

Position Details

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Weekend Hours: 8-12 hour shifts, on-call weekends
• Call Requirements: 10 days per month, including evenings and weekends

Facility & Unit Information

• Unit: 1st floor echo
• Number of Beds: 300
• Trauma Level: Not specified
• Equipment Used: Canon US, PHILLIPS
• EHR Systems: Meditech, Fuji PACS, Synapse
• Patient Population: Includes pediatric patients (must be able to perform pediatric echos)

Required Qualifications

• Certifications:

  • RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)
  • RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Echo)
• Skills:

  • Ability to perform pediatric echos, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and carotid ultrasounds
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision

Additional Information

• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Dress Code: Royal Blue or Red scrubs; no T-shirts or hoodies allowed
• Travel Requirement: Candidates must be located 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify as travel staff
