Description

Travel RN Opportunity – Surgery (Operating Room)

Location: Pasco, Washington
Specialty: Registered Nurse – Surgery (Operating Room)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 36-40 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: On-call only
Call Requirements: One post-shift call per week and one weekend call (Friday post-shift through Monday 7:00 AM)
Number of Openings: 1
Patient Population: Adults, Geriatrics, some Pediatrics (urology and occasional general surgery)
Patient Ratios: 1:1 in Surgery
Unit Beds: 6 Operating Rooms

Required Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3 years in Surgery specialty (Operating Room)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
Licenses: Registered Nurse License
Skills:
- Circulating in OR with excellent communication skills
- Friendly and positive attitude
Preferred Skills: Ability to scrub or assist in surgery as a flexible option

Unit & Equipment Information

Heavy use of Mako total joints, DaVinci robotics for General surgery, and Globus for Spine procedures
Equipment includes Mako, DaVinci Xi, Globus
EHR system: Paper charting IntraOp, Meditech

Common Procedures

Robot Assisted Arthroplasty for Osteoarthritis
Robot Assisted Cholecystectomy for Cholelithiasis
Robot Assisted Hernia Repair (Herniorrhaphy)
Robot Assisted Spinal Fusion (ALIF, PLIF, TLIF, XLIF, ACDF, Laminectomy)

Work Environment & Culture

Tight-knit team that values doing the right thing and hard work
Dress Code: Hospital laundered scrubs required; personal cloth hats allowed if washed daily
No float requirements

Additional Notes

Must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify as travel
Trauma Level IV facility
