Respiratory Therapist Travel Job - Williston, North Dakota
Position Overview
- Specialty: Respiratory Therapy
- Location: Williston, ND
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Facility Type: Level IV trauma center
- Patient Population: Neonatal to geriatrics (all ages)
- Coverage Areas: All hospital areas including inpatient, outpatient, ER, rehab, sleep lab
- Staffing: Typically only 1 RT per shift; traveler may be the only RT in-house
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- North Dakota state respiratory license
Experience Requirements
- Must be able to work with all populations/ages, including neonatal patients
- Required years of specialty experience: Not explicitly stated, but implied to require competency with neonatal through geriatric patients and trauma/stroke stabilization cases (recommend minimum 1+ year experience)

Job Duties
- Provide routine respiratory therapy treatments on medical/surgical floors
- Assist with EKGs
- Assist with complicated neonatal deliveries and C-section cases
- Trauma stabilization until patient transfer

- Ventilated patients are transferred out of the facility

Work Schedule
- Shifts: 3x12 hour shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM) plus 12-hour call after shift
- Scheduling: Team scheduling; open to block scheduling based on need
- Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends
- Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday
- Orientation: 3 shifts (12 hours each) with another RT
Additional Information
- Scrubs: Green generally; any color allowed on Fridays
- Radius Rule: Candidates must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN within 50 miles at any facility associated with CommonSpirit (including CHI or Dignity) in the past 12 months
- Return to Office (RTO) needed upfront; no additional RTO approved after submission
