Travel RN Opportunity - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Marquette, Michigan (Upper Peninsula)

Facility & Unit Overview

• 225-bed specialty care hospital
• Level 2 Trauma Center (receives Level 1 patients)
• Unit: Operating Room (12 ORs)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• EHR System: Cerner
• Patient Population: Primarily geriatrics and adults; pediatrics rarely

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Shifts: 10- and 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM or 9:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours
• Call Requirements:

  • One or two weekends every 6 weeks (12-hour blocks, 2 teams on call)
  • One weeknight every other week
  • 30-minute response time
• Orientation: Bi-weekly
• On-call on holidays only
• Holiday shifts: Should not exceed one per 13-week contract, if required
• Float Requirements: None

Required Certifications & Licenses

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Registered Nurse License (Michigan)
• ACLS preferred (per housing info, but not explicitly required in job description)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in specialty (Operating Room)
• Must have skills/experience in:

  • General surgery
  • Urology
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • Neurosurgery
  • Orthopedics (total joints, sports medicine, trauma, podiatry)
  • Basic ENT
  • Basic vascular
  • Robotic surgery
• Preferred experience in:

  • Cardiovascular (CV)
  • C-section
  • Trauma
  • Basic plastics
