Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Technician

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Specialty: Ultrasound Technician
• Experience: Minimum 1 year hospital experience on Siemens/GE ultrasound machines
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA required)
  • ARDMS
• Skills:

  • Experience with EPIC system
  • Ability to float onsite within skill set or to other sites within 40 miles if needed
• Shift & Call:

  • Call based on department needs, variable during weekdays
  • Currently needed for 3rd shift call (9:00 PM - 6:00 AM), half days during weekdays, and every third weekend and holidays on a rotating basis

Required Credentials & Onboarding Documentation

• Signed Assignment Agreement (required before onboarding)
• Current professional license with primary source verification within 30 days prior to assignment start
• Ascension Resume/Profile and 2 professional references (required for submission)
• Driver’s License/State ID (must be current and valid)
• Ascension Core Competencies (HIPAA, Joint Commission NPSG, OSHA topics) completed within one year, minimum 80% score
• Ascension Medical Imaging Contract Worker Onboarding Education Attestation
• Health and Immunization Requirements (must be completed prior to or at onboarding):

  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer; no declinations accepted)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, serological evidence, or verified history; no declinations accepted)
  • Tdap (valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series completion or signed declination
  • Influenza vaccine during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); exemptions accepted with mask requirement
  • 2-Step PPD or IGRA testing for TB, with annual updates and follow-up if positive
  • Fit Test for respiratory protection (preferred before start, can be done onsite)
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start, updated annually
• Ascension Criminal Background Check including Social Security Trace, Employment Verification, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and EPLS (Exclusionary Party List System)
• Ascension Education Verification relevant to clinical work (within 90 days of start)
• Ascension Employment Verification for the past 7 years
• Ascension Skills Checklist for specialty (clinical only, updated annually)
• Statement of good health or completed physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work variable shifts and be available for call as needed
• Floating to other sites within 40 miles may be required
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
