Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Opportunity

Location: Camden, New Jersey
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Required to float within 5 hospitals within skillset
• Block scheduling NOT allowed
• End of Week (EOW) schedule
• Must work 1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday
• Scrubs provided by hospital
• 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio experience required; may be pulled to higher volume facilities
• Circulate and scrub for C-section required
• EPIC experience required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (highest requirement)
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Prior travel experience not explicitly required

Licenses & Certifications

• Active New Jersey RN license required
• ACLS (AHA or ARC only)
• BLS (AHA or ARC only)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• Required to pass Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing (2 attempts allowed; must be taken on PC, not iOS)
• Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS for pediatric units, NIH Stroke Certification for certain units)

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I9 or Attestation
• Government issued photo ID
• E-Verify proof or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal check within a year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification required
• Physical exam within last 12 months
• Fit mask test completed onsite during orientation (required before first shift)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for positive responders)
• Annual TB questionnaire
• Required immunizations or positive titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
• 10-panel drug screen without THC panel within 6 months, updated annually
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by 10/31
• Visual acuity exam (20/40 or better)
• Latex questionnaire
• 2 professional references within last 2 years
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
• Work history verification for at least 1 year prior to start date (NJ state requirement)

Additional Notes

• Candidates must complete all required documentation and certifications by due dates to avoid contract cancellation
• Dysrhythmia test failure or missed deadlines will result in contract cancellation and denial of rehire
• Floating between multiple facilities within the system is required based on needs

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with at least 1 year of clinical experience, EPIC proficiency, and required certifications, who are comfortable with floating and working a block schedule-free, EOW shift pattern including holidays.
