Travel RN Opportunity - Cardiac Specialty Unit
Location: Overland Park, Kansas
Unit Overview
- Unit Name: Cardiac Specialty Unit
- Beds: 26
- Patient Ratios: 1:4
- Staffing: Charge Nurse, Bedside Nurse, Patient Care Technician (PCT), Unit Secretary
- Equipment: Pacemakers
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: Self-scheduling
- Weekends: 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week period (day shift) or 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period (night shift)
- On Call: None
- Floating Policy: Float to Telemetry, Medical/Surgical, and Observation/Short Stay (OSS) units
- Dress Code: Royal blue scrub top and black pants
Job Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Telemetry experience required)
- Advanced Skills: Experience managing cardiac patients post-procedure
- Procedures: Titration of IV medications including cardiac meds, heparin, insulin, etc.
- Certifications Required:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Certification
- Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
