Description
Travel RN Opportunity - Emergency Room
Location: Roswell, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care to Emergency Room patients, utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe patient care delivery in the Emergency Department. Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education. Delegate patient care priorities and supervise assigned personnel.
Requirements
- Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years in specialty
- Certifications:
- NIHSS
- SAMA or CPI
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
- Additional: Fingerprints required for all New Mexico travelers
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: Mid shift (1 PM - 1 AM)
- Schedule: Every Other Week (EOW)
- Floating required but rarely needed
Patient Care Details
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 4-6 patients
- Unit Size: 23 beds
- EMR Systems: Cerner, Mindray Telemetry Monitoring
- Scrubs Color: Royal Blue
Additional Notes
- Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if the same days are not required each week.
- 48-hour guarantees may be approved and must be included in the submission.
