Job Opportunity: Radiology / Cardiology Travel Contract
Location: Santa Monica, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Job Details

- Years of Experience Required: 1 year (minimum)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not required (first-timers accepted)
- Weekend Availability: Required every other Saturday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Floating: No floating between units required
- Locals Accepted: Yes
- Pending License: Not accepted

Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- State License (CPDH Certificate required for all RTs working in California)
Additional certifications may be required based on clinical track or specialty, including but not limited to:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Chemotherapy Certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (if applicable)
- IV Certification (LVN/LPN/Other, if applicable)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Note: Certification requirements should be verified against the clinical track or unit-specific needs.
Compliance & Background Requirements
- Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches as applicable (e.g., Washington State Patrol Search for WA placements)
- Drug Testing: 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and Health Documents:
- TDAP (within 10 years, declination accepted)
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu Vaccine during flu season (declination accepted)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respirator Fit Mask Testing required for travel candidates (updated annually)
Orientation & Training Requirements
- Completion of Providence-specific WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Core Modules by profession (RN/LVN, CNA, Allied, etc.)
- Specialty-specific modules for applicable roles (ER, ICU, L&D, etc.)
- Regional and facility-specific modules as assigned
- Epic training modules required for charting system proficiency
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Skills Checklists updated annually for applicable units
Additional Notes
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required; traveler may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance
- Badge photo required for identification
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years required
- Radiation Badge issued by facility if applicable
