    Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Opportunity

    Location: Tacoma, Washington
    Shift: 0600 - 1830
    Schedule: 6-week schedule posted in advance
    Weekend Rotation: None
    On Call: No (scheduled late coverage to finish cases)
    Holiday: Closed for holidays


    Contract Length

    • 13 weeks

    Unit Information

    • 2 dedicated Electrophysiology (EP) labs (5 Cath Labs total)
    • Volume: 6-10 EP cases per day; 15-20 total cases per day for overall department
    • Level II Trauma Center and Level IV NICU
    • 437 Licensed Beds

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum 1 year of Electrophysiology (EP) Lab experience (higher value confirmed)
    • First-time travelers accepted (prior travel experience not required)

    Patient Types / Common Diagnoses

    • Comprehensive arrhythmia evaluation
    • Atrial Fibrillation (AFib), Atrial Flutter (Aflutter), Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT)
    • Premature Ventricular Contractions (PVC), Ventricular Tachycardia (VT)
    • Pacemakers (transvenous and leadless), Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillators (ICDs), EV-ICD
    • Lead extractions
    • Watchman device implants

    Licensure & Certification Required

    • Washington State Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Nurse (RN)
    • BLS and ACLS certifications

    Skills & Responsibilities

    • Experience with electrophysiology procedures, able to scrub and operate table simultaneously
    • Assist physicians during:
      • Ventricular tachycardia ablations
      • Atrial fibrillation ablations
      • Atrial flutter and SVT ablations
      • Comprehensive arrhythmia evaluations
    • Support implantable cardiac device procedures including:
      • ICDs, pacemakers (transvenous and leadless), subcutaneous ICD implants, EV-ICDs, lead extractions, Watchman device implants
    • Operate and troubleshoot EP-specific equipment (mapping systems, stimulators, recording systems, ablation generators)
    • Scrub, circulate, and monitor during EP and device procedures per lab standards
    • Maintain a safe, efficient procedural environment focused on quality, accuracy, and patient safety
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless workflow and excellent patient experience

    Technology Experience Preferred

    • EMR: EPIC (CUPID)
    • PACS: Picom (preferred)
    • Hemodynamics: Merge (preferred)
    • C-arm: Philips Azurion and GE Alea (experience not required)

    Orientation

    • New Employee Orientation (first week)
    • 3-5 intra-departmental shifts

    • Return to Office (RTO): Up to 7 days approved if traveler extends contract to accommodate
