Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Springfield, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Position Details
- Specialty: Cath Lab Tech in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- Shift Options:
- 3x12 hour day shifts (06:30 - 19:00)
- Other shift options available: 5x8s, 3x12s, 4x12s, 4x10s
- On-Call: Yes, rotating with staff and agency; frequency flexible based on census
- Weekend Requirement: 2-3 weekends per contract
- Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
- Locals Accepted: Yes, no radius restrictions
- License: Must have an active license; pending licenses not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days
Experience & Certifications
- Required Years of Experience: Minimum 1 year in specialty

- Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult)

- Interpretation of Dysrhythmias
- Left and Right Heart Catheterization
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
- Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
- Rotablader Athrectomy
- Scrub Procedures
- Procedural Responsibilities:
- Equipment setup
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
- Infection Control:
- Isolation Precautions
- Sterile Technique
- Age-Specific Competencies: Middle and Older Adult
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner experience required

- Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start

- References: Two professional references required
- Competency Exam: Required for all clinical candidates
- Photo for Badge: Required within one week of contract signing
