Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
Location: Rockford, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Specialty

- Experience in Interventional Neurology preferred
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Shift and Call Details
- Day shift with on-call rotation
- Call frequency: 2 nights per week and 6 weekends during the 13-week contract period
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Perform patient assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care
- Administer medications and treatments according to nursing standards and state laws
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation
- Develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Provide patient and family education
- Participate in department/unit performance improvement and shared governance
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments
- Manage patient safety and complex situations, delegate appropriately, and escalate issues as needed
- Engage in professional development and continuous learning
- Support peer review and feedback processes
- Maintain timely patient flow and perform telephone triage (for clinic and ambulatory settings)
Education and Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Illinois RN licensure
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Must successfully pass EKG test prior to orientation completion
