Job Opportunity: Radiation Therapist (Travel/Contract)
Location: Portland, Oregon
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology

Required Experience
- Specialty: Radiation Therapist (Radiology/Cardiology)
- Years of experience: 2 years (based on "2YR/1ST TIMERS" requirement)

Certifications (Must have or verify as applicable)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) – Current certification by AAP, AHA, or Canadian Paediatric Society
- Chemotherapy Certification (if applicable)
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification (if applicable)
- State License – Professional license copy required
- NURSYS Verification (for RNs)
- IV Certification (LVN/LPN/Other) if applicable
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) if applicable
- NIH Stroke Certification (every 2 years) if applicable
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) if applicable
- Tech Cert Verification – Refer to Allied Licensure Report for qualifying Allied Professionals
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Background Check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- State-specific searches as applicable (Oregon Abuse/Neglect, Washington WSP/WATCH, OBRA Registry for CNAs in WA)
- Employment Application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors)
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years (6 months for CNAs)
- Skills Checklist updated annually (if applicable)
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Fit Mask test (for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024), updated annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or Chest X-Ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer, or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer, or declination
- 10 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Seasonal Flu Vaccine or declination during flu season (9/1–3/30)
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory Safety Clearance (RespSafety) for travel candidates starting on or after 2/5/2024, updated annually
Facility Specific Requirements
- Badge photo (passport style with neutral background) required
- Completion of Providence WorkRamp LMS modules prior to start, including:
- Core Modules for profession and region (Oregon)
- Specialty-specific modules if applicable
- Annual regulatory modules
- Epic training modules required for candidates working onsite in Oregon and Spokane, WA
- Float Policy Acknowledgement required (may be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance)
Additional Notes
- No 48-hour shifts approved

This position is ideal for Radiation Therapists with at least 2 years of experience, willing to work weekends as needed, and comfortable working in a short-term acute care teaching hospital environment using Epic charting.
