Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel Position

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Shift: Days, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
Start Date: 2/16/2026
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse I-IV) coordinates and implements patient care tailored to the age of the patient population on assigned units. Ensures quality, efficient, and safe care consistent with unit standards. Demonstrates professionalism, respect, and effective communication with staff, physicians, patients, and families.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
  • BLS Certification from AHA required
  • ACLS Certification from AHA required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN (highest required)
• Skills:

  • Knowledge and skills appropriate to the patient population served
  • Sensitivity to patients’ rights in care delivery
  • Clear and age-appropriate communication skills

• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious diseases
• Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
• Subject to stressful professional relationships and variable working hours due to emergencies or schedule changes
• Physical demands include prolonged standing/walking, heavy lifting/positioning of patients or equipment, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Requires good visual and hearing acuity, manual dexterity, and fine motor coordination

Additional Job Details

• Weekend Requirement: 1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts
• On Call Requirement: 1-2 call nights per week with charge duties as needed
• Floating: Yes, may float to other departments as needed
