Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room setting during day shifts.

Required Credentials & Certifications (Must be completed prior to or at onboarding)

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse License (Nursys verification required)
• BLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• PALS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• ACLS (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
• NRP (American Heart Association or Red Cross; NALS accepted for NICU, L&D, Postpartum RNs)
• NIHSS
• DCI/BVP (Workplace Violence Prevention training)

Exams & Testing

• Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening (minimum 80%)
• Prime Core Competencies Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Specialty Exam (minimum 80%)
• Prime Skills Checklist

Professional Requirements

• Prime Orientation Packet (includes Essentials Form and Post Test)
• Prime Education Verification
• Prime OIG Check
• Prime Criminal Background Check (National, within one year)
• Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
• Prime SAM/EPLS Exclusion Search
• Prime Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification)
• Prime Job Description signed by employee
• Driver’s License, State ID, or Passport

Health & Immunizations

• COVID-19 Vaccine (2 doses plus booster or completed declination)
• MMR (Proof of 2 vaccines or positive titer)
• Hepatitis B (No declinations accepted)
• Influenza Vaccine (or declination during flu season)
• TB Test (within 1 year of start date)
• Varicella (Vaccination or titer showing immunity)
• Tdap (No declinations accepted in some states)
• Physical/Health Statement (clear to work, completed annually or within 60 days of start)
• Fit Test (Annual respirator fit test; must be completed prior to start if not available onsite)
• Prime Drug Screening (Minimum 10-panel including THC, within 60 days of start; special saliva test requirements for CA locations)
• Prime Color-blind Test (Annual)

Additional Notes

• National criminal background check exceptions apply for certain states and units (Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse).
• Some certifications and verifications require primary source verification within 30 days of start or updated upon expiration.
• All exams require a minimum passing score of 80%.
• A notarized name affidavit may be required if there are discrepancies between credentials.
