Physical Therapist (PT) Job Opportunity

Location: Dillon, South Carolina
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Maintain a professional image and provide excellent customer relations with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data.
• Plan individualized care to meet holistic, age-specific patient needs.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice.
• Conduct hourly rounds using service excellence standards.
• Foster a caring, compassionate, and respectful environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Use appropriate health and safety equipment to protect patients and staff.
• Care for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable), restraints, and patients at risk for falls.
• Contribute to department efficiency and performance, including precepting novice employees.
• Participate in hospital-system initiatives and evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through goal setting and educational offerings.

Required Credentials & Certifications

• BLS (AHA only) – Required for onboarding
• License/Certificate Verification – Primary source verification required; state-specific registry copy needed
• MMR – Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted
• Hepatitis B – Proof of 3 vaccinations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted
• Varicella – Proof of 2 immunizations or titer with lab printout; no declinations accepted
• 2 Step PPD OR IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot) – 1st within 1 year, 2nd within 30 days of start; negative Q-Gold or Tspot within 90 days prior to start also acceptable
• Driver's License/State ID – Valid, up-to-date copy required
• Social Security Card – Copy required
• Criminal Background Check – Must include county, statewide, national search, OIG, EPLS, OFAC, NSOP, SS trace, and education verification; done within 60 days of start covering last 7 years; updated annually
• Employment Verification – 5 years required
• Drug Screen – 10 panel drug screening completed within 30 days of start; rapid drug screen not accepted

Additional Requirements

• McLeod Profile (Resume or Profile) – Required for submission
• McLeod Skills Checklist – Clinical only, completed prior to start and updated annually
• Confirmation of Assignment – Standard form required

Notes

• Fit Test and Influenza Vaccine are optional but recommended depending on timing and traveler status.
• Annual Negative PPD, Annual TB Questionnaire, and Positive PPD with Negative Chest X-Ray are optional depending on individual health history.
