Travel RN Opportunity - Med/Surg

Location: Lander, Wyoming
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical


Job Description

  • Provide direct, individualized nursing care based on scientific nursing principles.
  • Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
  • Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV).
  • Report adverse medication or treatment reactions per policy.
  • Educate patients on surgical procedures and post-treatment home care needs.
  • Record medical information and vital signs accurately and timely.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized patient equipment; interpret electronic displays.
  • Initiate corrective actions for adverse symptoms.
  • Provide bedside care for a variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
  • Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
  • Respond to life-saving situations following nursing standards and protocols.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Utilize effective time management skills.
  • Perform other position-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Medical/Surgical nursing.
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association).
  • Licensure: Wyoming RN license or multi-state RN license.
  • Employment Type: Travel contract.
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks.

Additional Notes

  • Experience working in community hospital settings is relevant.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
