Travel RN Opportunity - Labor and Delivery

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Unit Information

  • Unit: Labor and Delivery
  • Number of Beds: 16
  • Number of Staff: 120
  • Shifts:
    • Day Shift: Charge nurse, PCT, CST, RN
    • Night Shift: Charge nurse, PCT, CST, RN
  • Patient Ratios: 1:1, 1:2
  • Equipment: Baxter Pumps, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
  • EMR System: Cerner, Fetal Ink

Required Experience and Skills

  • Specialty: Labor and Delivery
  • Minimum Experience: 2+ years in Labor and Delivery (highest required years of experience)
  • Must Have:
    • Labor and Delivery experience
    • High risk pregnancy experience
    • Immediate newborn care
  • Preferred: Circulating experience

Certifications and Licenses

  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • NRP
  • Registered Nurse License

Typical Procedures

  • Vaginal Deliveries
  • Cesarean Sections
  • D&C (Dilation and Curettage)
  • Cerclage
  • C-Hyst (Cesarean Hysterectomy)

  • Floating Areas: MFMU (Maternal-Fetal Medicine Unit), MOMB (Mother Baby), NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
