Travel RN Opportunity – Rehabilitation Unit
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Rehabilitation
- Number of Beds: 41
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 4 RNs, 5 LPNs
- Night Shift: 4 RNs, 4 LPNs
- Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Equipment Used: Patient lifts, iSTAT, glucometer, inhalers/breathing treatments
- EMR System: Meditech Magic
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Registered Nurse License
- BLS Certification
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in the specialty
Skills & Qualifications
Must Have:
- BLS certified
- Ability to read telemetry
- LPNs must be IV certified (note: relevant if working alongside LPNs)
Preferred:
- CRRN Certification
- Knowledge of Quality Indicator scoring in post-acute settings
- ACLS certification within 90 days
Typical Procedures
- Assist in rehabilitation care plans established by interdisciplinary team
- Lab draws
- IV medication administration as needed
- Blood administration as needed
- Head-to-toe assessments

- Enjoys educating patients and family members on care plans and rehabilitation programs
- Good communication skills
- Empathetic and patient advocate
