Description

Cardiopulmonary Therapist (CRT or RRT) - Contract Position

Location: Herrin, Illinois
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Job Description

Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.
Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans within a multidisciplinary team.
Educate patients and/or responsible persons about respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge instructions.
Accept reassignment to other units as needed.
Share clinical knowledge with staff and students; serve as a role model for clinical practice.
Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.

Requirements

Education: Associate’s degree required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Illinois State License
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - Maternal Health Care (NRP-MHC)
Specialty: Cardiopulmonary (CRT or RRT)
Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum experience consistent with RRT licensure.
