Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Job Description
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
- At least 2 years must be as a staff CVICU nurse
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Work in a mixed ICU setting, primarily focused on CVICU with expectation to take overflow patients
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- CALS (Childbirth and Advanced Life Support)
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience: Minimum 3 years total nursing experience with at least 2 years in CVICU
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification and accreditation confirmation (must be from approved nursing programs)
- State nursing license verification (NURSYS verification required)
- Physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to meet essential job functions
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 30 days of start
- Immunizations/vaccinations: MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Hepatitis B, Varicella, Flu seasonal vaccination (or approved exemptions)
- Fit mask testing (respirator fit test) required for new contracts
- EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam (Relias or Prophecy platform) with up to 3 attempts allowed; remediation required if failed
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Unit-specific skills checklist and competency exams
- Signed acknowledgment of pass/fail testing requirements
- Completion of facility-specific policies including hand hygiene, floating, and time & attendance
Continuing Education Requirements
- Stroke CEUs: Must be stroke-related, updated annually, NIHSS counts toward hours if completed within the year
- Trauma CEUs: Required after 27 weeks of work, must complete a 16-hour trauma course initially (TNCC accepted), renewals annually
Additional Notes
- Candidate must complete and sign various facility-specific documents prior to start
- References: 2 professional references within 2 years of start required for travel nurses
- Employment application and work history verification required (verification of 2 workplaces within last 7 years)
