Job Opportunity: RN CVOR in Iowa (Mason City)
Position Details
- Specialty: RN CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse)
- Location: Mason City, Iowa
- Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Mostly day shift, 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) depending on department needs
- Hours: Full-time, 36-40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: 10-12 days per month
Experience & Skills Required
- Open Heart Surgery experience required
- EPIC system experience required
- Scrubbing experience is a plus
- Years of Specialty Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 1+ year CVOR experience based on specialty requirements (default to higher if known)

- Hepatitis B vaccination series (at least first vaccination prior to start)
- Influenza Vaccine (proof or declination for 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 season)
- 2 Step PPD or IGRA TB test (with chest x-ray if positive, per regional requirements)
- Varicella vaccination or IgG titer proof
- Physical/Health Statement (exam within last year confirming fitness to work)
- Tdap vaccine (current, non-expired; declination accepted if no pediatric interaction)
Professional & Compliance Documentation
- Resume, skills checklist (within last year), and 2 professional references
- Criminal background check (federal, nationwide, county for last 7 years, including SSN verification)
- Education verification (highest academic degree or diploma/GED)
- EPLS (Excluded Parties List System) report dated within 30 days
- OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusion report dated within 30 days
- Joint Commission CORE exam within last year
- NSO (National Sex Offender) check dated within 30 days
