Travel RN - Home Health Physical Therapist

Location: Winchester, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Overview

  • Role: Home Health Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Provide direct patient care in patients' homes as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Evaluate patients and design individualized plans of care
  • Use guided interventions to improve safety and functional independence
  • Supervise care provided by assistants
  • Patient load: 5-7 patients per day (varies by visit type)
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 hours
  • Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5 days x 8 hours)
  • Weekend requirement: Every 5th weekend
  • On-call: None

Requirements

  • Specialty: Physical Therapist in Home Health
  • Years of Experience: 2 years (highest required from data)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    • BLS
    • Virginia Physical Therapy License (or license status if not yet obtained)
    • Driver’s License
  • Documentation: Ability to use laptop and cell phone for communication and documentation

Work Environment

  • EMR system: EPIC
  • Dress code: Black scrubs (per Valley Health dress code policy)
  • Patient type: Home health patients (varied)

Additional Notes

  • This is a travel contract position
  • Location offers access to outdoor activities and cultural experiences in the Shenandoah Valley area
