Description
Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 3 days per week
- 12-hour shifts (06:00 AM - 6:30 PM)
- No set schedules
Required Credentials & Certifications
- COVID-19 Vaccine: 2 vaccines plus booster or completed declination
- MMR: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Vaccination required; declinations not accepted
- Influenza Vaccine: Required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31); declinations not accepted
- TB Test: Within 1 year of start date
- Varicella: Proof of 2 vaccines at least 28 days apart or positive titer
- Tdap: Required; declinations not accepted
- Physical/Health Statement: Must be completed within 60 days of start and state clearance to work
- BLS Certification: American Heart Association or Red Cross
- ACLS Certification: American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Blood Gas Technologist Certificate: Must be certified by Nevada State Health Division, Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance
- License/Certificate Verification: Primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start, updated upon expiration
Required Professional Documents & Checks
- Driver's License, State ID, or Passport
- National Criminal Background Check within 1 year of start date (with some state-specific timing requirements)
- Prime Core Competencies Exam: Must score 80% or higher
- Prime Skills Checklist
- Prime Specialty Exam: Must score 80% or higher
- Prime SAM/EPLS exclusion search
- Prime Agency Attestation (completed after all credentials uploaded)
- Prime Form I-9 (Employment eligibility verification)
- Prime Orientation Packet (includes Essentials Form and Post Test)
- Signed Job Description
- Prime Education Verification (Diploma or Transcripts accepted if third-party verification unavailable)
- Prime Drug Screening (minimum 10-panel test including THC, within 60 days of start)
Additional Information
- Annual Respirator Fit Test recommended (may require completion prior to start depending on location)
- Resume and 2 professional references required at time of offer acceptance (1 reference must be from a manager or direct supervisor)
