Travel RN Opportunity – Operating Room (OR)

Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room (Surgical Services)
• Shift: Days, varied shifts including 9-5, 11-7, 1-9, 3-11, and weekend daylight shifts
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: Yes, 1-2 times per week, 8-hour call increments
• Float Requirements: As needed
• Patient Population: All ages
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Number of Beds in Unit: 22
• EHR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • CPI/HWC (Crisis Prevention Intervention / Healthcare Worker Certification)
• Experience: 1-2 years in OR or surgical services (highest required years of experience)
• Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to accept on-call shifts and varied shift times
  • Must complete all required background screenings and fingerprint clearances prior to start (including Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI fingerprinting, and PA State Police Clearance)

Preferred Experience

• Charge nurse experience for RNs
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Robotic surgery experience

Work Environment & Culture

• Trauma Level: Level 1 Trauma Center
• Dress Code: Blue scrubs provided; no casual wear allowed
• Call: Required 1-2 times per week
• Personality Fit: Adaptable to varied shifts and on-call demands

Additional Notes

• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
