Job Details

• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Call Requirements: None
• Floating: Required; may float to other units as needed
• Holiday Requirements: One holiday per contract
• Additional Shift Info:

  • Will work 2 additional level-loading shifts in a 6-week period (total 2 extra shifts)
  • Flexible scheduling for extra shifts
• Patient Population: Stroke/AMS unit and standard medical patients
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6
• Charting System: CERNER
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Medical Surgical/Neuro
• Years of Experience Required: 1 year
• First-time Travelers: Accepted
• Prior Travel Experience: Not required

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)

Licensure & Background

• Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility (no local candidates)
• Background check required within 90 days of start, covering last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
• Education verification or copy of diploma/transcripts required
• State license verification required as applicable

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (2-step PPD or Qgold accepted; T-Spots not accepted)
• TB questionnaire required prior to start and annually
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant 12-panel accepted if needed for quick start)
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious declination required prior to start

Additional Notes

• COVID vaccine medical exemption available with proper documentation
• Facility requires completion of multiple pre-start modules (approx. 8-10 hours) prior to start date; candidates are paid for this time
• Photo for badge required (passport-style, solid background)
