Emergency Room Nurse - New Jersey (Mullica Hill)

Job Summary

Seeking an Emergency Room nurse with recent experience in a high-volume, fast-paced ED setting.

Requirements

• Specialty: Emergency Room
• Location: Mullica Hill, New Jersey
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience (highest required)
• Prior Travel Experience: Required (must have completed at least one prior travel contract)
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensure & Certifications:

  • New Jersey Nursing License or Compact License
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
  • Note: Pending certifications or those expiring within 30 days of submission are NOT accepted

Work Schedule

• Weekend shifts: Every other weekend or 3 per month, depending on unit needs
• Holidays: None required
• Return to Office (RTO): No more than 3 days accepted
• No block scheduling or special shift requests allowed

Orientation & Onboarding

• Completion of full orientation is mandatory; failure to complete results in immediate termination
• Orientation includes virtual welcome meeting, online HealthStream modules, in-person classes (typically Tuesday-Thursday), and unit-based orientation with manager
• Badge ID must be obtained in person during orientation (photo submissions not accepted) and is required for clock-ins

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background check, drug screen, and various health screenings/vaccinations required (COVID-19, Hep B, Influenza, MMR, TdaP, Varicella, TB)
• Competency exams and skills checklists
• Employment, license, and educational verifications
• Compliance with confidentiality and mandatory annual training
• Various sanction and exclusion screenings (FACIS, NJ Debarment, National Sex Offender, OFAC, OIG, SAM)

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room nurses who have prior travel contract experience and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
