Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Conyers, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 10 weeks
Unit Details
- Weekend coverage rotation: 24-hour call shift on Saturday or Sunday (7 AM to 7 AM next day)
- Requirement: 2 weekend call shifts in a 6-week period
- Call shifts: 7-8 call shifts in a 6-week period
- Floating: Within facility and scope of practice as needed
- Minimum Experience: 1 year (first-time travelers accepted)
Work Expectations
- Must work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period:
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving/Black Friday
- Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
- Locals accepted at the same rate
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support): Required for RNs in many specialties including ER, PACU, Critical Care, Labor & Delivery, etc.
- BLS (Basic Life Support): Required for RNs
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support): Required for RNs in PACU, ER, and other pediatric-accepting areas
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program): Required if applicable
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring): Online course required within a few months of hire (no renewal required)
- State License: Must be licensed in Georgia
- NURSYS Verification: Annual verification required within 30 days prior to start
- Tech Cert Verification: National certification verification if applicable
Required Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs)
- Color Blind Testing (required for all candidates)
- Competency Exam (required for Nursing by Aya)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (required for Telemetry, ICU, ER, and related specialties)
Health and Background Requirements
- Physical Exam: Required by Aya within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or Chest X-Ray: Within 12 months of start; can start with TB test pending if questionnaire on file
- TB Questionnaire: Required annually for all candidates
- Immunizations:
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer required
- Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer required
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; cannot start with results pending
- Flu Vaccination or Declination: Required for 2025-26 flu season
Background Checks and Documentation
- Background check required within 30 days of start, including criminal and education verification
- Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process
- References: 2 clinical references required by Aya
- Skills Checklist: Must be updated annually within 12 months
- Work History Verification: Verification of most recent employer required; can be pending at start with proof it is in process
