Description
Respiratory Therapist Travel Job - Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Position Overview
- Perform respiratory care and pulmonary diagnostic procedures for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities.
- Provide therapeutic treatment and diagnostic testing using medical gases, equipment, environmental control systems, humidification, and aerosols.
- Administer medications related to the cardiopulmonary system.
- Manage ventilatory support and life support systems.
- Perform bronchopulmonary clearance and breathing exercises.
- Educate patients and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Maintain natural and artificial airways.
- Work in both critical care and non-critical care areas, treating patients of all ages.
Contract Length
- 14 weeks
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care (higher value between 1 year clinical experience and 2 years preferred is used).
Education Requirements
- Required: Associate Degree from a CoARC accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care.
Certifications & Licensure
- Current State of Wisconsin License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- BLS, ACLS, NRP (NRP required only for certain hospital locations).
Preferred Qualifications
- Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and Wisconsin Society for Respiratory Care (WSRC).
