Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Weekend Hours: Every Other/As Needed

Facility & Unit Information

  • 47-bed acute care facility
  • Unit: OB/GYN (Labor & Delivery and Postpartum)
  • Beds: 4 Labor rooms, 4 Postpartum rooms
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Labor/Delivery/Recovery/Postpartum (LDRP): 2 patients to 1 nurse
    • Postpartum couplets: 3 patients to 1 nurse
  • Patient Population: Childbearing-aged women and newborns
  • Electronic Health Records (EHR): OBIX, Medhost, GUI

Requirements

  • Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in New Mexico
  • Certifications Required at Submission:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • AWHONN (Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • HWC (Healthcare Worker Certification)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • Years of Experience in Specialty: Minimum 2 years (Labor & Delivery/Postpartum experience required)
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not specified (no explicit requirement)
  • Additional State Requirement:
    • Fingerprinting and background check required before hire (travelers may start on a 14-day supervised waiver while results are pending)
