    Job Opportunity: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Practitioner

    Location: Antioch, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Description

    • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care procedures.
    • Set up and operate respiratory care equipment for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases/illnesses.
    • Proficient in ABG (arterial blood gas) sampling and analysis.
    • Perform EKGs.

    Required Certifications

    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

    Preferred Certifications

    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

    Experience Requirements

    • Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
    • Years of Experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum 2 years (default for specialty unless otherwise specified).

    Background Checks & Compliance

    • Immunizations or titers required for:
      • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
      • Rubeola (Measles)
      • Mumps
      • Rubella
      • Hepatitis B (series or declination)
      • Varicella
    • Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30).
    • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start.

    Competency & Skills Verification

    • Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable.
    • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam may be required.
    • Unit-specific skills checklist required and renewed annually.

    Licensure & Documentation

    • State professional license verification required within 30 days of start.
    • NURSYS verification for RN/LPN/LVN/AP within 30 days if applicable.
    • Official transcripts/diplomas or attestation of verification attempts required.
