Travel RN Opportunity - Nephrology Unit

Location: Farmington, New Mexico
Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center, 198 beds


Position Details

  • Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Nephrology Unit (extension of Med/Surg)
  • Shift: Days (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
  • Weekend Requirement: Minimum 2 weekend shifts per month
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

  • Unit: Nephrology/Med-Surg
  • Number of Beds: 24
  • Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:6
  • Patient Population: Geriatric and Adults
  • Common Diagnoses/Treatments: ESRD, Peritoneal Dialysis, Hemodialysis
  • Equipment Used: Vital Signs machine, Bladder Scanner, Lifts, Thermal Imaging, IV pumps/tubes
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Requirements

  • Education: ADN required
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 2 years in specialty (Nephrology or Med/Surg)
    • Med/Surg experience required
    • Nephrology experience preferred but not required
  • Skills:
    • Must have at least 3.2 overall rating on skills checklist
    • Observation Unit experience is a plus
    • Charge Nurse experience preferred but not required
  • Float: As needed per facility needs
